Klima Small Animal Clinic Veterinarians
Dr. Chuck Klima
Dr. Chuck Klima was born and raised
in Cedar Rapids, IA. He attended Iowa State University and graduated from
veterinary school in 1972. He practiced in the Chicago area for 2 years before
coming to Waterloo in 1974. He and his wife Dr. Pam Klima built the current
clinic in 1981. His special interest is small animal surgery.
Dr. Pam Klima
Dr. Pam Klima was born and raised in
Elgin, ILL. She received her B.S. and D.V.M. from Michigan State University in
1972. She practiced in the Chicago area for two years and came to Waterloo in
1974. She and her husband Dr. Chuck Klima moved their practice to the current
location in 1981. Her interests include small animal medicine and dermatology.
Dr. Kristin Nitz
Dr. Kristin Nitz received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from
Iowa State University in 2006. She is originally from Sioux City, IA where she
attended Morningside College and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in
2001.
Dr. Nitz practiced at a small animal clinic in Dubuque, IA before joining
the staff at Klima Small Animal Clinic in June 2007. She has two cats at home,
Joey and Frankie, who are good daily reminders of why she chose this profession
for her career. In her spare time, Dr. Nitz enjoys reading, cooking, playing
tennis, hiking, biking and anything outdoors.
